By leaving conspicuous notes in public places we hoped to catch people in an awkward moment. Our notes were intimate in nature, sometimes revealing personal information. We created notes in different forms to elicit different types of interaction. However, most people avoided the notes all together, even if they were placed directly in their way. It seems that people generally stick to their routine and fail to notice interactions that are as subtle as this.
