Creating a mechanism that dispenses a fortune container shell was not that much of a problem. However, the digital display on top of the machine had to change its moving image simultaneously when the shell popped out. After some trials and errors, we decided to use MAKE Control. By connecting a switch to the inner side of the machine, users were to automatically trigger the sensor by pulling the handle. By using Action Script we eventually got the result that we wanted. We believe the design was a success, because when the machine was exposed to the public, people came over to pull the handle within a couple of minutes.
