project brief: show “discovery” through text
During our tour of downtown Los Angeles, I was very inspired by the decay of architectural structures and the many layers of history that lay behind the newest coat of paint on the buildings waiting to be discovered.
Because I feel that interacting with what you are discovering is an important part of the experience, this project was inspired by trying to achieve the emotion when one first discovers something.
Emotions of curiosity, excitement, and possibly fear?
The interactive experience gained from discovery is very transient. In order to express this ephemeral emotion, I chose to experiment with creating something that would be difficult to re-live once the interaction was over.
